Hi, I just discovered your blog and enjoyed reading everything from Jan. 2008 forward! I had done a Google search to learn how long to dry sprouted wheat in my dehydrator to make bread according to Sue Gregg's book. I love learning and clicked lots of wonderful links through your pages, thanks :) I just ordered Sally Fallon's book (hope I got the right one) and I even found the info I'd been hunting to decide on diapering for my youngest, wow! I hope all is well with you and your dear family. Oh - any idea how long to dry wheat berries in the 1000 watt nesco gardenmaster model?

Oh goody! I'm glad your posting again. I found your blog when i first found out i was pregnant in December. I read the makers diet and made lots of changes to my diet =). I'm now 29 weeks pregnant and i'm curious if you ended up trying 5w during the last few weeks of pregnancy? How did it work for you? I'm getting ready to order some natural baby products from azure standard and i found a tea that you drink the last 6 weeks of pregnancy that has some of the same ingredients that the 5w has. I don't want to waist my money if it doesn't really work.

Thanks!

mrsssilvia,
So glad all this info is helpful to you. For dehydrating wheat berries, set your nesco to 145 or 150 degrees (no higher) and then it should take about 2-4 hours (it really depends on how long they were soaked). Check it off and on. I find that grain dries faster in the dehydrator than in a 150-degree convection oven.

I'm glad my postings may have helped you figure out your diapering too. I'm a huge fuzzi bunz fan, myself. but it's good to look at all the different options out there.

TIffany, congrats on your pregnancy! and on eating healthy! Yes, 5W does help. I ended up using Gentle Birth this time. It did help, but I had some other unforeseen complications. Oh, well. Everyone's different. But definitely get the 5W tea. It can only help! With my next baby I'm doing 5W.
